Pre-Game,
The Pre-Game stage is the initial steps to setting up the game. E.g. inserting the disc into the console, Installing the data for the game. It also includes checking the resolution so it can work with the specs of your computer.
Game Start,
The Game Start stage is the first stages of the game once loaded. E.g. The main menu, Options menu. You will normally see the company logo at this stage as well. This region could be conflicting with the pre-game region as you aren't actually playing the game yet.
In-Game,
The In-Game stage is when you are in the game playing it. E.g. anywhere where the player can interact with something and can mean some cutscenes.
Post-Game,
Post-Game is the ending to a game. E.g. The ending cut-scene, Credits, Closing the game.
